Don't Blame the Body... Blame the mind!

The narratives never seem to change.

Infact, now they amuse me!

Use your body to honor God, they say...

Your body is the temple of God, they jerk...

Yen yen yen...

Yet we forget the mind.

The heart of man is desperately wicked.

God said it!!!

On Sunday in churches, these instructions are blared from the pulpit like horns from Lagos traffic.

In the news, we hear the same warnings again.

Cover your body.

Dress decently.

Don't wear short skirts.

It's too revealing.

Don't wear trousers.

The average Nigerian man is obsessed with the female body to the point of fanaticism.

So he makes everything about her body so he keeps having a reason to talk about her body.

A woman is raped...check what she was wearing.

She gets into an argument... Her body is the center of attention.

She goes to an interview... Her body is in question.

She puts on a uniform...her body is checked out.

If she fights her fellow woman... Her clothes are torn to spite her.

I repeat, the average Nigerian man is obsessed with the woman's body!!!

We tell the women to keep their body holy.

Deep down we can't wait to prey on it.

Her body is a precious stone, and precious stones are hidden under the ground, waiting for the right man to dig up...useless narrative

Yet we forget to tell the men to keep their minds clean.

We forget to teach the man to cleanse his mind for the right woman.

Any man that body shames a woman or accuses a woman of seduction because of her dressing, should question the purity and sanctity of his mind.

I read about men blaming women for being sexually abused, hinting their clothes as the problem.

I was unfortunate, I repeat unfortunate to come across an interview on live TV, where some grown ass men sat and debated about how a girl child, irrespective of her age can seduce a grown man with an adult penis and the blame should be on the child and her parents, not the men(beasts) alone.

These men, claimed to be activists and graduates, argued with the poor female presenter about how a child of 5 or 6 can be responsible for seducing a man into abusing her sexually and so parents should be careful about the kind of clothes they buy for their child.

It shouldn't be skimpy they bleated.

The fact that an adult male can use skimpy and a child in the same sentence shows how debased and evil the heart of such a man is.

The mind is the most important vessel God wants, not even the body!!!

If body was so Important to God...He would have one!!!

For chrissakes, Jesus would have come out as a model or body builder but bible scholars have proven that even Jesus as a man was ordinary and plain looking.

If body was so important to God, he wouldn't be a spirit.

While preaching to women to use their body to honor God...

Teach the men to purify their mind to serve God!

Only a dirty mind sees a sex object instead of a special subject!

Only a dirty mind sees nudity instead of gender.

Only a dirty mind sees a naked woman while she is fully or half clothed.

Only an evil debased mind sees lust instead of a child.

A pure mind, no matter how skimpy or naked the child is....sees love in it's truest form.

A pure mind sees laughter, joy and innocence.

Not orgasm.

You don't cum by walking on the street because you saw a half dressed woman if you are sane and in control.

Before you attack the body.

Defend the mind.

A pure mind sees a gender not an agenda.

Don't blame the body.

Blame the mind!

  1. Very sensible and true.
The attack on the body is directly proportional to the mindset and inversely proportional to the square of the information gained and discipline cultivated apart.

I hate my Job

Warning: Strong adult content 18+ I hate my job My boss, Miss Patricia, is a tyrant 40+, beautiful angelic face and even more perfect body, with a lovely smile, that she hardly uses, single mom of two beautiful teenage girls, whose pictures are hung everywhere in our offices. While her exterior is sweet and beautiful, her interior is dark and evil. Always barking orders at the rest of us, like children, her voice is so loud you wonder where she has the energy to scream in such a high note all the damn time She is so feared, her car horn is enough to immediately drown whatever noise or laughter is coming from the entire building The popular saying among us, her staff members, is that the fear of Patricia's horn is the beginning of wisdom I spent years searching for a job in the streets of Lagos, begging even, embarrassed by security men and spat at by lousy and saucy receptionists, to quit this one just like that. We die here! I was prepared to eat shit for as long as I could, so I ...

Riotous Love

I have always found Tony, my boyfriend, fascinating His write-ups and rants about bad governance and patriarchy got me wet and awestruck every single time I visited his timeline  Whenever he wrote a piece on Facebook and Twitter, he got thousands of likes and comments I always read every comment, especially from women who were mesmerized by his writing prowess I was once part of such women until I decided to shoot my shot, and, like cupid, I hit him straight in the heart A simple "Hello, I've read and enjoyed all your stories, maybe you could write ours someday, hope I'm not overreaching?" I had to drink almost a full bottle of bailey's to find courage for that stunt, and today, we are celebrating 8 months of the best love story ever. He was my Mr. Perfect, everything I could ever ask for and more It wasn't surprising when he asked me to join him and go for the peaceful protest here in Lagos, and like a love-struck puppy, quickly I jumped up and said yes That ...
