A Call to Art is a Call from the Heart

To write poetry is to die in a world that is not alive

To become awe in a world that only knows war

Poetry is a soul inhabiting an empty vessel and making it whole

To write poetry is to tell stories that are not ours, yet allows us to share its glories

Poetry isn't selfish, it's the dream we all have, that was once a little child's wish

I want to be able to write poetry that calls me

Poetry is a calling

I don't want to force it, I want to respond.
