These Days, The sky is not the way to the stars... The dustbin is!

Being a celebrity is not synonymous with being intelligent.

Today it takes as cheap as N30 vote or N1000 sub to become a celebrity.

It is that easy!

That's why we have the most mediocre minded and shallow thinking celebrities and rich individuals in the world.

It doesn't take a sound mind today to be rich, just a solid platform.

A country where even our president doesn't read, you are expecting our celebrities to read?

When he is supposed to read he won't read, when he isn't supposed to read, he will read and read amiss.

The only thing our celebrities know how to do is to art.

And 9 times over 10, the art is crap.

But we tolerate them.

Why?

We are worse!

We are artless as we are mindless!

Where in this world will an illiterate lead a country of learned and enlightened men.

Only in a country where the minds, hearts and art of the people are dead.

Having a Ferrari or a Gucci wrist watch doesn't make you knowledgeable.

Wealth is not synonymous with wisdom.

Just like health is not synonymous with long life.

Being able to afford a yansh surgery and breast implants worth millions, doesn't identify you as a maverick.

You can't give what you don't have!

That's why you can't give an intelligent opinion on a serious or any matter at all, except what you know which is not much because you do not read.

You just sing and dance, or dress like the opposite gender.

This is the definition of the average Nigerian celebrity.

So I laugh when people cry that a popular actor divorced his wife, like he is so good and divine, he is above martial challenges.

He is so smart, he can't face the same challenges we face.

A star is supporting a lady toxic in every way and with morals so loose, it won't fit in the waist of a cold hearted bish, and people are shocked that a sane person will support such toxicity?

Your role models are supporting someone with characteristics parents and the society teach us to avoid and flee from... They are even rewarding it with millions... And you are disappointed because you believe they should know better and put their money to better use.

It is their money and they can tear it if they want...yours and my opinion doesn't matter, so why act surprised.

If fully grown adults can engage in physical altercation under the scorching sun in poverty over their favorite housemates locked up in luxury awaiting millions from a game...what else can you expect from such species of simpletons.

So another star promised to give millions to someone who cannot even spell a word so common it identifies with her, and later denied he said so.. And people are screaming and biting their nails!!!

In today's Nigeria, no thought goes into what we do and achieve and that's why we accomplish next to Nothing.

It's not a curse.

It is what it is.

Your social status is most often not a product of your sound intelligence.

Being a celebrity doesn't endow you with a sharp IQ.

Most celebrities lack the intellection for any mental application beyond physical attraction.

Their faces are made up with the most expensive beauty products, but their minds are as cheap as Vaseline and black powder.

You can be a God in your craft but a dog in other intellectual issues that involves applying common sense.

While making up your faces, don't forget to make up your mind too.

Stop expecting divine attributes from mortals.

These days, the sky is not the way to the stars, the dustbin is.

In Nigeria all it takes to shine is to mad.

Just mad and you my friend are on your way to stardom.

I am not afraid of the storm Facing it alone isn't something I would lose sleep over But I want to conquer with you Set anarchy to never after Bring liberty to forever more Alone we are survivors, caging the fiercest waves Swimming the deepest seas But, hand in hand we would drown the ocean You and I, we would drink the rivers dry And spit out islands Kingdavid Chinaeke Ofunne Authorpreneur

Solomon's Lair!

Rated 18 Solomon's lair  I almost refused to go for the birthday party this year. Solomon always hosted a party every year, and as usual, I always gave the opening speech and acted as the MC too. I hated the drama and fake smiles all around. Each year, new faces present, old faces absent. New Friends present, Old friends lost, only me stagnant. I was always present as the best friend, the loyal soldier, meanwhile I was notoriously known for not celebrating my own birthday. It was so bad that most of my friends didn't even know my date of birth, just my age. Yes, it was that bad! It was an exhausting exercise for me. The cake and speeches, by God I hated the hypocrisy. So this year I swore to him by the old gods and new, that I wasn't gonna be in the spotlight of his special day. I just wanted to drink and chill quietly in solitude. Surprisingly, without any fuss, he obliged me. ''Obi is now a man o'' I smiled. ...

Riotous Love

I have always found Tony, my boyfriend, fascinating His write-ups and rants about bad governance and patriarchy got me wet and awestruck every single time I visited his timeline  Whenever he wrote a piece on Facebook and Twitter, he got thousands of likes and comments I always read every comment, especially from women who were mesmerized by his writing prowess I was once part of such women until I decided to shoot my shot, and, like cupid, I hit him straight in the heart A simple "Hello, I've read and enjoyed all your stories, maybe you could write ours someday, hope I'm not overreaching?" I had to drink almost a full bottle of bailey's to find courage for that stunt, and today, we are celebrating 8 months of the best love story ever. He was my Mr. Perfect, everything I could ever ask for and more It wasn't surprising when he asked me to join him and go for the peaceful protest here in Lagos, and like a love-struck puppy, quickly I jumped up and said yes That ...
