The Knight In Dark Camry

She hated the very core of him

The stories she had heard

The rumours she had believed

The conquests he so brazenly exhibited

The calmness in his philandering

She hated it

She was disgusted

The fact that he was a hero among the lowlife's.

And a King in the eyes of those stupid girls he paraded on a regular.

She hated his fans and loyal subjects.

She hated his very essence.

The confidence in his strides was nauseating.

The boldness in his demeanor triggered blind rage in her.

Like he owned the world!!!

What a jerk.

Until that sunny day, when she was beaten and scorned by the heat of the sun.

In her hopeless and helpless state, outside, drenched with sweat with no shade, waiting for a vehicle with a crowd of other hungry, desperate and violent people...He arrived.

Like a knight in a dark Camry

He offered her a lift, and with her eyes wide opened in relief and desperation, she hurriedly walked in aware of the envious stares all around her.

Amidst the pleadings of the many onlookers, and the quiet swearing as he ignored them, he came down like a gentleman to open the passenger door for her...

In that instant, every fiber of hate she had for him dissipated with relief.

From that moment, she had an excuse for every wrong she heard.

Every time he was crucified, she silently forgave him.

In every conversation he was mentioned, she was his defender.

He could do no wrong.

And so from the occasional Hi and Hello's.

To the flirtatious chat's.

The romantic dinner.

She finally said yes to his invitation.

Her head said she was doing the wrong thing.

Her heart said she was the right one to change him.

Her legs warned her, it was a mistake they dragged.

Her spirit willed her, go, it will be different this time.

And so, well manicured, perfumed up and cleanly shaved, she went.

He didn't rush

He didn't push

Then slowly and with the expertise of an experienced hand.

He took his gospel time.

He starts with a kiss that hits her soul.

His tongue travels down to the centre of her womanhood.

Dropping brief kisses along the way.

While his fingers worked like magic all over her nipples.

The master of his craft.

He knew his art, and his level of confidence warmed her heart.

She felt safe and secured in his bed.

And so, like a pro, he lowers his head to her moist and parted thighs.

Goose bumps and pleasurable shivers grips her body.

She jerks like an epileptic

She was still lost when his thrusts arrives.

''Do you love me?'' She asks in abandon and reckless pleasure, as if somehow he would say no, I don't.

''Yes, with every part of me'' he replies as his eyes never leaves her face.

''But what about all the other women?'' She asks pleadingly.

''They don't matter, you do.'' He smiled reassuringly as he increased the speed of his thrusts.

''I hope you won't  break my heart.'' She said

He chuckled on top of her.

''Trust me dear, you are different, now shhh...let's enjoy this with only sounds.''

He is so patient and dedicated, like a call of duty.

Then he takes her like a calling.

Until in loud gasps and animalistic display of pleasure, she finds release.

Then one day passes and she waits, angry that he didn't call to even know if she got home.

She knows it in her guts, but refuses to acknowledge it.

Two days passed

Then one week

And finally she called

''I thought you said you are different'' she said

''No, I said you are different'' he said on the phone.

''You are a bastard'' she cursed.

''Literally I am, I don't know who my father is, so yes I am.'' He said so nonchalantly she heard her heart break

Pause...

She knew then that it was all over. She had just become one of the statistics.

But she hated herself more because she knew from the beginning the kind of man he was and the kind of love he had to offer.

She hated herself more because she walked in with her eyes open, knowing fully the stakes on ground.

''I can't believe this'' she said. ''I am so stupid.''

''Oh, come on, what did you think will happen... Marriage? you wanted the fuck as much as I did.'' He said with laughter in his voice.

She betrayed herself

She used herself

She blamed herself

You will rot in hell...she said resignedly.

I'm in Nigeria baby...we are rotting together.

Solomon's Lair!

Rated 18 Solomon's lair  I almost refused to go for the birthday party this year. Solomon always hosted a party every year, and as usual, I always gave the opening speech and acted as the MC too. I hated the drama and fake smiles all around. Each year, new faces present, old faces absent. New Friends present, Old friends lost, only me stagnant. I was always present as the best friend, the loyal soldier, meanwhile I was notoriously known for not celebrating my own birthday. It was so bad that most of my friends didn't even know my date of birth, just my age. Yes, it was that bad! It was an exhausting exercise for me. The cake and speeches, by God I hated the hypocrisy. So this year I swore to him by the old gods and new, that I wasn't gonna be in the spotlight of his special day. I just wanted to drink and chill quietly in solitude. Surprisingly, without any fuss, he obliged me. ''Obi is now a man o'' I smiled. ...

Riotous Love

I have always found Tony, my boyfriend, fascinating His write-ups and rants about bad governance and patriarchy got me wet and awestruck every single time I visited his timeline  Whenever he wrote a piece on Facebook and Twitter, he got thousands of likes and comments I always read every comment, especially from women who were mesmerized by his writing prowess I was once part of such women until I decided to shoot my shot, and, like cupid, I hit him straight in the heart A simple "Hello, I've read and enjoyed all your stories, maybe you could write ours someday, hope I'm not overreaching?" I had to drink almost a full bottle of bailey's to find courage for that stunt, and today, we are celebrating 8 months of the best love story ever. He was my Mr. Perfect, everything I could ever ask for and more It wasn't surprising when he asked me to join him and go for the peaceful protest here in Lagos, and like a love-struck puppy, quickly I jumped up and said yes That ...
