Souls Are Not Perishing...Ideas Are!

We are so f^cking spiritual to the point that we see ideas as unspiritual.

No matter how bright these ideas are, as long as they are seen or viewed under the microscope of religion, they are dirty and dark.
So we miss it often times.

We are distracted with winning souls that will never finish, neglecting to live our lives that has an expiry date.

Our minds are so narrowed and conditioned to win win win souls, rather than solving everyday's problems and churning out futuristic ideas.

That's why when kids in China, USA, or Rwanda are building robots, kids in Nigeria are speaking in tongues and earning our love, admiration and applause.

We send our kids to schools to read, write, imagine, think and solve world's problems, yet we are more excited when they get baptized and speak in tongues for one hour.

I just heard the story of a man that went to apply for the position of a programmer in a company, but he was told they didn’t need the services of a programmer as they weren’t an IT firm.

Baba went home, cried small then stood up, walked around and reflected for a while before he came up with an idea.

The idea was simple enough and right in front of our faces all along.

He and his friend invented a software that enables high school students check their JAMB score via sms, without having to go to a cyber cafe.

So together, they went to pitch their idea to JAMB first and then MTN, it was accepted and both giants in the education sector and the telecommunications sector invested and embraced the idea.

The first launch saw him and his friend making 100 million naira, this was after Jamb took 50%, and MTN 25%. Baba and his friend's cut was 100 frigging million naira for the first launch only.

This young man and his friend came up with this idea and today he is a millionaire.

Jamb has been selling vouchers for years to cybercafés, and cybercafés are disappearing.

Jamb has IT department yet none of their own programmers ever thought about this.

Graduates are going to JAMB to look for work, yet no one thought USSD, nobody in this country thought USSD for JAMB.

By the way, these young men are muslims.

The point is, we Christians are so caught up in the so called race, when God gives us ideas that will shape the world, either we are too busy gallivanting with flyers and Megaphone's to listen and understand, or we are so brainwashed with fanatical doctrines, we push them aside as the devils work and label them sin.

We don’t see any more if it is not wrapped in religion.

Our free days are no more free for us to think and reflect, we have filled them with church activities and prayers.

We are so desperate to see vision we end up blind from lack of vision.

You can't inspire a healthy world if your mind is beguiled with misconceptions and misguided doctrines.

You can't give what you don't have, just like you can't be given what you can't use.

We forget that an unfilled man or woman, cannot preach or spread the gospel effectively.

Souls are not perishing, ideas are!

I am not afraid of the storm Facing it alone isn't something I would lose sleep over But I want to conquer with you Set anarchy to never after Bring liberty to forever more Alone we are survivors, caging the fiercest waves Swimming the deepest seas But, hand in hand we would drown the ocean You and I, we would drink the rivers dry And spit out islands Kingdavid Chinaeke Ofunne Authorpreneur

Solomon's Lair!

Rated 18 Solomon's lair  I almost refused to go for the birthday party this year. Solomon always hosted a party every year, and as usual, I always gave the opening speech and acted as the MC too. I hated the drama and fake smiles all around. Each year, new faces present, old faces absent. New Friends present, Old friends lost, only me stagnant. I was always present as the best friend, the loyal soldier, meanwhile I was notoriously known for not celebrating my own birthday. It was so bad that most of my friends didn't even know my date of birth, just my age. Yes, it was that bad! It was an exhausting exercise for me. The cake and speeches, by God I hated the hypocrisy. So this year I swore to him by the old gods and new, that I wasn't gonna be in the spotlight of his special day. I just wanted to drink and chill quietly in solitude. Surprisingly, without any fuss, he obliged me. ''Obi is now a man o'' I smiled. ...

I hate my Job

Warning: Strong adult content 18+ I hate my job My boss, Miss Patricia, is a tyrant 40+, beautiful angelic face and even more perfect body, with a lovely smile, that she hardly uses, single mom of two beautiful teenage girls, whose pictures are hung everywhere in our offices. While her exterior is sweet and beautiful, her interior is dark and evil. Always barking orders at the rest of us, like children, her voice is so loud you wonder where she has the energy to scream in such a high note all the damn time She is so feared, her car horn is enough to immediately drown whatever noise or laughter is coming from the entire building The popular saying among us, her staff members, is that the fear of Patricia's horn is the beginning of wisdom I spent years searching for a job in the streets of Lagos, begging even, embarrassed by security men and spat at by lousy and saucy receptionists, to quit this one just like that. We die here! I was prepared to eat shit for as long as I could, so I ...
