Die Today Than Grow Up Normal Tomorrow

When I become a father I will teach my kids not to pay absolute attention to their teachers. Outside the conventional and traditional learning that is going extinct in Nigerian schools, that's if by some extraordinary intervention they even school in Nigeria.

I will tell them no, I will beg and plead with them to never pay attention to what their teacher in their classroom who will rather sound white in the name of oral English and fake British/ American accent than black, God forbid!

A teacher who believes that sounding white is a measure of civilization can never have anything to say to you about who you are and what you should be, infact the average Nigerian teacher can never know you enough to agree with your beliefs no matter how trained or educated they might appear they can never understand you like you or I, they won't see beyond what the society and the education system has mirrored for them.

School is shit and they don't believe that so how can they understand you when they live, breathe, eat and thrive in the shit!

The irony of the situation is that they are not alone in this courtyard of foolsdom.

Majority of our leaders, pastors, imams, elders, people in authority and our beloved parents, oh, our dearly beloved parents are as blind as a bat flying in the scorching sun.

They want to conform to the norm but you cannot conform to the norm in an abnormal society.

I, your father is different. I have schooled myself in the art of unschooling the lies and socio-cultural accident that has wrecked our schools and society.

I have transcended and translated from the traditional and religious glaucoma that has spread thin like a virus on a rampage.

I learnt the hard way autodidactically and so I'm gonna teach them to be autodidactic in nature.

I will never forget how my primary school teacher flogged my classmate for being left handed or is it my University days when we couldn't find the right textbooks, lecturer,  or exam hall to write stupid clueless exams that amounted to nothing.

Yes I remember how my friend then, a computer scientist student was being taught computer by a lecturer who couldn't operate one and rather was teaching them an outdated and archaic computer operations from a fucking book.

Or is it how she attended a seminar in Benin as a 400level student and a 200 level computer student in the school knew more than her and her lecturer.

You must rise above the norm and be abnormal if you will make it else you will be frustrated and depressed by failure and disgust at a failed and finished system.

My children, you must be the difference and to be that you can never be, think or act the same with your teachers, pastors, leaders and your friends or neighbors parents with the same ideology.

Majority of Nigerians today who pride themselves in being civilized and exposed are flying bats in the scorching sun. Blind!

The have absolutely nothing to impart on their children, the so called leaders of tomorrow, infact anyone that calls you tomorrow's leader is a flying bat under the sun because they have nothing new to say to motivate you than an outdated lie.

You can't tell a child he is tomorrow's leader with the animals and old beasts we have in power today as an example to them.

The leaders of tomorrow are the ones ruling today so if you keep lying to the children of today they will simply grow to become the lazy frustrated Nigerian youths tomorrow.

The common lies they tell the kids of today are simple, basic and preposterous gibberish such as

Obedience and respect

Obey your teacher
Obey your pastor
Obey your seniors
Your parents are always right and know all so respect and obey them
Always go to church or mosque and read your bible and Koran
Read your books always to become a doctor, lawyer and engineer. A profession they could never aspire to despite doing all these things growing up.

And when you do all this things, in their eyes you are the perfect child.

Future lawyer, doctor and priest!

Bloody nonsense!

It was a teacher that told Ben Carson that he was  dumb and had no future.
Yet the medical profession today have been revolutionalized by this wonder.

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was 4-years old and did not read till 7, and was considered subnormal by his parents. One of his teachers described him as mentally slow.
The world is better today because of this imbecile as described by his teacher and family.

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.
Today we all had a great childhood because of him, the society almost stole this from us!

Somebody told Charlie Chaplin that his pantomime was nonsense and so he was rejected by Hollywood severally.
Today the world still talks about him and is still been entertained for years.

In high school, actor and comic Robin Williams was voted "Least Likely to Succeed."
Who does it better than him today?

It was Albert Einstein that said
Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods.

It was this same society that labelled this men failures and almost truncated their dreams and aspirations but they had to rise above school and society, religion and tradition to achieve by will, force and a stronger determination!

I will tell my daughters don't listen to Nigerian mothers you will end up like them, unambitious and unproductive bunch.

I will tell my sons don't listen to Nigerian fathers, lazy, intellectually slow, mentally broke and disgustingly  domineering bunch.

It's the worst form of death!

Die today than grow up normal tomorrow

Normal is a disease worse than AIDS

I'm not a teacher but I'll make the best teacher for my kids.

Solomon's Lair!

Rated 18 Solomon's lair  I almost refused to go for the birthday party this year. Solomon always hosted a party every year, and as usual, I always gave the opening speech and acted as the MC too. I hated the drama and fake smiles all around. Each year, new faces present, old faces absent. New Friends present, Old friends lost, only me stagnant. I was always present as the best friend, the loyal soldier, meanwhile I was notoriously known for not celebrating my own birthday. It was so bad that most of my friends didn't even know my date of birth, just my age. Yes, it was that bad! It was an exhausting exercise for me. The cake and speeches, by God I hated the hypocrisy. So this year I swore to him by the old gods and new, that I wasn't gonna be in the spotlight of his special day. I just wanted to drink and chill quietly in solitude. Surprisingly, without any fuss, he obliged me. ''Obi is now a man o'' I smiled. ...

Riotous Love

I have always found Tony, my boyfriend, fascinating His write-ups and rants about bad governance and patriarchy got me wet and awestruck every single time I visited his timeline  Whenever he wrote a piece on Facebook and Twitter, he got thousands of likes and comments I always read every comment, especially from women who were mesmerized by his writing prowess I was once part of such women until I decided to shoot my shot, and, like cupid, I hit him straight in the heart A simple "Hello, I've read and enjoyed all your stories, maybe you could write ours someday, hope I'm not overreaching?" I had to drink almost a full bottle of bailey's to find courage for that stunt, and today, we are celebrating 8 months of the best love story ever. He was my Mr. Perfect, everything I could ever ask for and more It wasn't surprising when he asked me to join him and go for the peaceful protest here in Lagos, and like a love-struck puppy, quickly I jumped up and said yes That ...
